Selecting a wedding necklace

  • Not everything you wear on your wedding day will last a lifetime.
Of course your wedding ring is the exception and so can be your wedding necklace.
A well chosen necklace you can wear very often after your wedding.
In some cultures or families it is a tradition to pass on the wedding jewelry to the next generation. So, choose carefully.

  • If you want to have a lot of pleasure of your necklace (lifetime), choose materials that last forever such as 14K or 18K gold or silver instead of a necklace that is gold plated.
Gold plated necklaces will always wear out in time.
Pearls react positively on grease of the skin. Their luster will become more beautiful.

  • If you like to wear your necklace very often -almost daily-, choose a simple/classic design. ( For example  "Nina" or "True Love" or  "Simplicity )
Would you like to wear your necklace only on festive occasions, look for a more exclusive design.

  • If you like to wear your necklace often, choose white pearls or choose a necklace of which the colors harmonize with your eyes and skin. (For colored necklaces see our website:
    www.DesignJewelGallery.com)
Don't look only at the colors you wear on your wedding day.

  • When your wedding dress is really eye catching, a simple necklace looks best.

  • Most of our necklaces are close to the neck (45cm). If you wear a low necked dress, you can consider a longer necklace (50cm or 55cm it is up to you).
All necklaces can be made longer or shorter, comparable to the design shown on our website.

  • A longer necklace makes a short or broad neck look longer.

  • Of course pearls are not necessarily white.
For example: we have beautiful  "natural" pink pearls or ivory-colored, light/dark gray, golden brown, or black pearls see our website: www.DesignJewelGallery.com
We can also create a necklace with pearls of different colors ( see: "Daisy" pink)

  • Don't wear earrings on your wedding day if you are not used to it. They are most likely to irritate you.

  • Simple short earrings suit simple, classic necklaces as well as our exclusive designs.
Very little, short earring are  "Me Two"  or  "One and Only".
Long earrings are movable and of course more eye catching. They suit  very beautiful with a high-necked dress. See for example: "Branch" earrings

  • Don't wear bracelets with long sleeves.

  • Order matching jewelry always together, at the same time. We will then use the same pearls or gemstone for all pieces.
